COMMUNITY UPDATE FEBRUARY 27, 2024
1. Negotiations with the Bank are now complete, and we can advise that the Per Capita Distributions
(PCD) will be released starting February 27th, 2024. Depending on your banking institution, it may
take 3-4 days for the deposit to arrive in your account.
2. On-reserve and off-reserve persons who are alive and SCN band members on February 27, 2024, are PCD
eligible. Persons who become band members on February 28, 2024, and after are not PCD eligible.
3. The PCD will initially be released by direct deposit. Again, please allow for 3-4 days for processing.
Processing times may vary depending on your banking institution. Please be patient- everyone who
is eligible will receive their PCD. Cheque requests will be processed in the coming weeks.
4. If you did not complete your PCD application form properly, you will not receive your PCD at this
stage.
5. If you do not receive your direct deposit PCD by March 1, 2024, please submit the PCD application
form starting on March 1st to scnpcd@gmail.com. Any emails received prior to March 1, 2024 will
not be reviewed. PLEASE SUBMIT ONLY ONE EMAIL AT A TIME.
6. SCN staff will be in contact to verify information if your form is not completed or the information
does not match SCN records.
7. Please be patient! Hundreds of applications are being processed and we ask for your patience and
respect.
8. Cheques and direct deposits are not being issued by the Band Office. SCN staff at the Band Office
cannot process cheques or payments requests at the Band Office. Please send any questions to

9. The Manitoba Government has confirmed in writing that they will be seeking to exempt agricultural
benefit (“cows and plows”) PCD’s from the consideration of financial eligibility as it relates to
Employment and Income Assistance (EIA) and Manitoba Supports for Persons with Disabilities
(MSPD). This means that social assistance should not be impacted by the PCD. If any SCN member is
faced with having their social assistance reduced because of the PCD, please notify the SCN Band
Office immediately.
