REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)
FOR RATIFICATION OFFICER
BACKGROUND
The Sapotaweyak Cree Nation (SCN) requires the appointment of a Ratification Officer for the upcoming Ratification Vote on the SCN Election Code.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to call out for proposals of experienced ratification officers who will provide a high quality of professionalism and integrity to serve as Ratification Officer for the SCN Election Code Ratification Vote.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The scope of responsibilities of the Ratification Officer will be to oversee the ratification vote and will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Preparation of Voting Materials: develop and distribute all necessary materials, including ballots, informational pamphlets, and instructions for voters.
- Voter Registration: oversee the registration process to ensure all eligible community members can participate in the vote.
- Voting Process: facilitate the voting process, ensuring it is conducted in a fair, transparent, and efficient manner. This includes managing the polling location(s), providing assistance to voters, and ensuring compliance with relevant law and regulation.
- Counting and Reporting Results: accurately count the votes and report the results of the voting to Chief and Council and the community in a timely manner, ensuring fairness and transparency throughout the process.
PROPOSAL SUBMISSION
All proposals shall be submitted by email, clearly identifying the name of the proponent and “Proposal for Ratification Officer” in the e-mail subject line, to the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation no later than October 22, 2024 at 5:00pm CDT.
Email submissions only. The use of the mail or courier services for delivery of a proposal will not be accepted. Late submissions will not be accepted.
